Review: Frank Ocean – “Endless”

Sup, yinz?  Last night we FINALLY received new music from Frank Ocean who has been in hiding for the last four years.  Well not really in hiding – he was seen drag racing with Tyler, The Creator the other night in LA but musically he has been hiding.

Although I wanted to go to bed early last night, I couldn’t resist and just had to watch, yes watch, his new music.  I mean, I did stay up quite late for a whole week watching an ENDLESS (supposed) live stream of him building this staircase, so I felt I had to watch immediately.

Any who, Frank debuted a visual album titled Endless.  Many thought, including myself, the project was going to be called Boys Don’t Cry, but nope.  He changed it on us.  However, there are rumors and speculations that he will drop another project this weekend that could be titled Boys Don’t Cry.  Stay tuned for that one.

Anyway, check out my review of the project below!  Did you watch Endless?  If so, what did you think?  Also, does anyone know why he changed the title to Endless or what the staircase is for?  I don’t actually know, but maybe it’s a metaphor of some type?  An endless staircase?  We will be endlessly waiting for a true album from him?  So many questions.  No real answers.

Check it!

Happy Friday, yinz!  And be sure to follow me on Snap to see more reactions, reviews, and ridiculous moments… ergense.

VIDEO: Wiz Khalifa ft. Travi$ Scott – ‘Bake Sale’

They dem boys!  Totally not proper grammar, but Wiz and Travi$ make quite the duo in their video for the banger that is ‘Bake Sale.’  This is definitely one of my top songs of 2016 so far.

Directed by the talented Dan Folger (another Pittsburgh boy), the video is filled with neon colors, smoke, dolla bills, and baked goods.

So watch the video below, and you can catch Wiz on the road with Snoop this summer on “The High Road Summer Tour.”

VIDEO: Rihanna – ‘Needed Me’

Bad bish alert!  As promised from a few weeks ago, the visuals for Rihanna’s track ‘Needed Me’ off of her recent album ANTI are now here!  The song is produced by one of the best, DJ Mustard.

The visuals and RiRi give off her independent nature, so you know I can appreciate that.

Watch below! But probably don’t view it at work.

VIDEO: Rihanna – ‘Kiss It Better’

Yesterday RiRi teased us with a short clip of her ‘Kiss It Better’ video, but now it is finally here!  Once again, she doesn’t disappoint, and I can add this to another reason of why I love her.

The super sexy black-and-white clip is quite seductive and shows the Barbadian queen’s confidence, which we all already know she has plenty of.  This is def NSFW (not safe for work), so watch on your iPhone not on your desktop.  I don’t want yinz getting in trouble.

VIDEO: Future ft. The Weeknd – ‘Low Life’

Having just premiered on MTV, watch the sultry visuals for the highly anticipated video of Future’s ‘Low Life’ featuring The Weeknd.

Really really dig this song, so I’m glad the video is already here.  Happy Friday, yinz!

Oh, and happy birthday to one of my favorite artists Big Sean!  The G.O.O.D. Music singer turns 28 today.

So so so much!

Seriously, my brain can’t keep up with all of this new music and music news.  Kidding, I totally can keep up, but I just feel like now more than ever we are getting so much new music and a lot is happening in the rap/hip-hop scene.  And I am not mad about it for one second.

From Yeezy-Wiz Twitter drama to way more Future music than I could have anticipated to Drake confirming Views‘ drop date and more… what a time to be alive.

I promise I will have a more thorough post about all of the above and more in the coming days, but for now please watch my Snap Story from last night’s epic time with Ty Dolla $ign.  While he didn’t perform until after 1am and only for about 20-25 minutes, it was still a movie.  And shout out to last night’s DJ, DJ Geo, who truly had the place too live.  It was like he took my phone and plugged in the aux cord – ALL of my favorites.  So dope!

Watch below, and happy Friday!  Oh, and don’t forget to listen to Wiz Khalifa’s album, Khalifa, and Majid Jordan’s debut album, self-titled Majid Jordan, both of which dropped today.  AND tune into Beats Radio from 5-7 this evening to listen to DJ Khaled premiere Future’s new project EVOL (love spelled backwards).  Yeeee!

VIDEO: Tinashe ft. Chris Brown – ‘Player’

Finally!  A dance-heavy video where the dancing is actually legit!  I’m not trying to bash Drake in ‘Hotline Bling’ by any means, but just saying I love and appreciate real dancing.

The video for Tinashe’s recent hit ‘Player,’ featuring the dance master himself, Chris Brown, is here!  ‘Player’ is the first single off of Tinashe’s upcoming sophomore album Joyride.  I’ve seen Tinashe perform before, and she can definitely bust a move.  So on that note, watch the video below.

Enjoy!

Video:  ‘Hotline Bling’ – Drake

It’s here!  On Instagram yesterday, Drake confirmed the release date for the much-anticipated ‘Hotline Bling’ music video.  He replaced the text on the single’s original artwork with today’s date of October 19. He announced at the beginning of the month at Austin City Limits that the video was going to be dropping soon, so you know that I am too excited it’s finally here.

This song is by far his biggest hit of the year, getting him so close to scoring that No. 1 title on the charts.  Drizzy has yet to accomplish this task – the single is currently at the No. 2 spot, but he took to Instagram last week writing that if this single reaches No. 1. during his birthday month of October, “it will be the biggest moment of my career to date.”

There have been so many memes, parodies, and covers of ‘Hotline Bling,’ which goes to show its popularity.  I even hear people humming the beat or singing the song who I never thought would be whistling to a Drake song – I love it!

The video is currently only available via Apple Music.  I just watched it, and daaang.  It is Drake being as Drake as he can possibly be with his dance moves, and I love every second of it.  Never thought I’d see a music video of Drake dancing throughout basically the whole thing.  He just went up quite a few points in my book – if he could even go up any higher.   Lots of memes will be created from this – just a feeling.

Watch it here on the big screen!
