NEW: Majid Jordan – ‘Learn From Each Other’

On yesterday’s episode of Beats 1, Majid Jordan took over the airwaves on OVO Sound Radio.  Majid debuted the new song ‘Learn From Each Other’, and it’s filled with electro-R&B sounds.  Once again, the duo doesn’t disappoint.

And even more exciting, they are working on their follow-up album to 2014’s EP A Place Like This.

Listen here!  Hope you’re all having a great Sunday!

Beauty Behind the Madness ‘The Leak’ (Official)

About an hour ago, The Weeknd dropped on his Facebook page a link to his Soundcloud of what appears to be snippets from his oh-so-soon album Beauty Behind the Madness.

I typically don’t like listening to new music until the release date, but I couldn’t wait any longer.  His voice is truly like no other.  Abel is back, and he doesn’t disappoint.  Although, I must admit I will always be a bigger fan of his older music compared to the more mainstream, radio hits, but regardless.  Still so good.

Enjoy yinz!  And have a wonderful weeknd!

And happy happy birthday to my best friend, Natalie – hope it’s epic, boo!

TOUR: The Weeknd to go on ‘The Madness Fall Tour’

And we can absolutely not forget about The Weeknd’s announcement today about his upcoming ‘The Madness Fall Tour.’  I am one million percent going to this.  Travi$ Scott, Banks, and Halsey will also be joining him.  He’ll be in LA on Tuesday, December 8 at The Forum in Inglewood.  It’s crazy to think that back in 2012 he was performing at much smaller venues, and now The Forum!  While it’s not nearly as big as Staples Center, it is definitely a bump up, and I think it’s epic he’s only getting bigger.

And what’s even more exciting is his next album Beauty Behind The Madness drops next Friday, August 28, so he will clearly be performing a majority of his new (and hopefully older) songs.  He went on a fall tour last year after the release of Kiss Land.  Obviously I attended.

The tour kicks off in his hometown of Toronto on November 3 and will make a total of 22 stops.  Pretty sure the presale for tickets is next Wednesday – on it!  Check the dates below to see if he’s making a stop in your city!  If he isn’t, you should just fly to LA and see him with me. 🙂

VIDEO: Future ft. Drake – ‘Where Ya At?’

The visuals are finally here for Future’s ‘Where Ya At’ featuring Drake.  The track comes off of Future’s chart-topping album DS2, which I must admit I haven’t listened to in full yet.

How dope is this… the video actually premiered tonight on the Sony Billboard in Times Square!

I’m also digging Future’s clean cut look throughout, especially in the XO varsity jacket.  And Drake.  Well obviously I like his look but specifically in this when he’s in the suit towards the end.  And his dance moves kill me.  Love.

Watch it all below!

EPIC MASHUP: Drake & Florence + The Machine – ‘Back to Back’

Back To Delilah [Drake x Florence + The Machine] from Tesher on Vimeo.

Woah, woah, woah.  Hold up.  Calling all Drake and Florence + The Machine fans.  This mashup of Florence’s ‘Delilah,’ which I suprisingly already had on a Spotify playlist, and Drake’s response track to Meek Mill, ‘Back to Back,’ makes the song that much better.

Much love to editing magician Tesher and Reddit for putting this together, and the visuals are even more dope.

Check those out above and the audio here!  What a great start to my, and hopefully your, day!

Fetty Wap Friday – 8.14.15

This morning on my way to work, I was on a Fetty Wap kick, so I thought I’d share with you the songs I had playing.  And no, one was not ‘Trap Queen.’  Sort of over that song.  #thankyouradio

And his debut album is set to drop September 25!  The man definitely has put out some bangers, so I’m looking forward to it.

Enjoy the tracks below as your Friday evening continues. 🙂

Off to Huntington Beach to celebrate my friend Sydney’s birthday!  Have a great weekend, yinz!

[Congrats] to Drake – #IYRTITL Goes Platinum!

Not sure what happened – this was supposed to have posted on Monday!  Weird.  Well, here it is anyways because I can’t let a post about Drake slip away.

Got rich off a mixtape, got rich off a mixtape.  But serious.  Released by complete surprise to fans, Drake’s mixtape ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’ has gone platinum!  In jut a little over 10 days of its release, Drake had already moved 624,000 units of the tape.
In a great explanation and breakdown of how it hit platinum, his official fan site WordOnRoad broke it down:

“With the new ‘Sales + Steaming’ system, ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’ was already platinum back in March.  However, this week the mixtape sold 7,985 units putting it a total of about 1,006,000 units sold.  This makes it platinum based off of strictly sales and no streaming.”

Congrats again to Drake and the whole OVO team for putting together, yet again, another quality piece of work.  Really looking forward to Views from the 6
