Happy Friday! And many thanks to Big Sean for giving us new music… again! I really hope his new album drops soon.

Now I know this week’s watch out WEDNESDAY isn’t a song or artist to watch out for, but it should still be on your radar. And yes, I’m also aware today is Thursday. I started writing the post yesterday but got caught up watching game 7… #SPORTS. So what to watch out for this week and weekend in particular is…
What is ComplexCon? I don’t know if there’s a real defined answer as to what this is but it’s been promoted as the ‘first of its kind pop culture convention.’ Well, you know I love anything pop culture related so I can’t miss out.
What will ComplexCon entail? Panels, performances, food, shopping… all the things. Again, you know I have to be there.

Definitely tune into my Snap (ergense) so you can get an inside look this weekend. I will be there both days and will be attending the Snoop Concert on Sunday night. It’s lit!
Oh, and tonight I’ll be going to the Penguins vs Kings game at Staples Center so check out that #californyinz action on my Snap as well.

Big Sean is back with that fire, fire, fire (Big Sean voice). This is the second track Sean Don has dropped today.
Listen to them both below!

YES!! I was just about to Tweet and ask if The Weeknd forgot to give us the announcement but about 10 minutes ago, he released the tour dates for phase one of his Legend of the Fall Tour, and you know I have to be there.
See the dates below!

Although the tour is titled Legend of the Fall, the tour does not kick off until next February, and it will run through June. Some on Twitter are asking if he has his seasons mixed up, but I don’t even care. I’m just happy he’s going on tour again, and he’s the legend so he can do what he wants.
He’s not stopping in Pittsburgh, so looks like yinz should just fly out to LA and come witness the greatness with me. However, this is phase one so maybe he’ll be announcing additional stops. You know what I’m looking at though – that one liner at the bottom saying ‘surprise special guests to be announced.’
Stay tuned for ticket sale dates and times!

I knew it, I knew it, I knew it. Earlier this morning, Chris Brown posted a video on his IG that hinted he’d be dropping a mixtape. Well, I didn’t think it was going to drop TODAY. But I am not mad about that! The tape also features OHB (Only Hood Bosses) and U.K.’s Section Boyz.

I’m currently streaming it now for the first time, so I don’t have any immediate reviews so why don’t yinz listen with me and let me know what ya think?
Stream on DatPiff here!

UPDATE: It’s here! Stream/buy it on Apple Music for now until it drops on DatPiff. Aaaaand, here you go!
So word on the street is that Meek Mill will finally be dropping his pretty hyped up Dreamchasers 4 (DC4) mixtape tomorrow.
And the following may be the tracklist –

Meek did post the following on his social channels as well a few days ago (photo courtesy of Karen Civil) –

We shall see! Stay tuned to this post, as I’ll drop in the streaming link once he releases the tape. Will there be any Drake disses? Ugh. Ready when you are, Meek.

So last night was pretty amazing. I had the pleasure of seeing the Canadian duo that is Majid Jordan perform in LA at The Forum Theatre. Now, this wasn’t the typical concert I attend – you know, where everyone’s jumping up and down, rapping all the words… the turn-up. Last night’s concert was pure vibes. For those of you who have never heard of the duo or if you have and have yet to listen to their music, I highly recommend doing so.
Quick background: Majid Jordan posted their first project on SoundCloud back in 2011 titled afterhours and under the pseudonym of Good People. Skip to 2013 when Drake’s producer Noah Shebib aka 40 caught wind of afterhours and signed them to OVO Sound. From there, Majid Jordan co-produced Drake’s hit single “Hold On, We’re Going Home”. In 2014, they released their first EP, A Place Like This (my favorite) and earlier this year released their self-titled debut by OVO Sound, featuring a song with Drake called “My Love.” And now they are on the second leg of their North American tour. Good tings.
Speaking of their tour, last night’s setlist included the following –
Pretty much all of my favorite songs of theirs. And while their stage lighting remained on the darker, more mysterious side, their presence and energy was the complete opposite. They had guys singing, girls swooning, and the whole crowd vibing. The last time I was at The Fonda it was May 2012, and I saw The Weeknd. At that time, The Weeknd was nowhere near his current level of pop stardom and not many knew who he was. (This was actually my favorite version of The Weeknd.) So I can only hope that Majid Jordan, too, makes the same musical wave that The Weeknd has made with fans across the board. And to think I have seen both of these artists start at The Forum. So cool.
See what I’m talking about in my Snap Recap below, and DEFINITELY tune into my Snap (ergense) tonight as I’ll be hitting the Saint Pablo Tour… ON THE FLOOR. I am too ready for this floating stage. Yeezy taught me!

Yinz didn’t think I forgot to write Drake a birthday post, did ya? No way I would miss this and especially on his 30th birthday.
While I am obviously a fan of Drake himself, it’s his music that really gives me (more) life, so this birthday post is dedicated to his songs and their lyrics that highlight his age throughout the years. Did you know Drake has a lyric about his current age for every year since he was 21? I actually themed my 27th birthday around that particular lyric (thanks for the inspo, Drizzy). Well, if you didn’t know, I’ve listed them for you with links to the tracks as well. But really, Drake’s lyrics (although sometimes corny) have continued to evolve, and for that I will always be grateful for new music from the 6 God. Be enlightened below!
21 years old –
I just tell the truth so I’m cool in every hood spot
21 years and I ain’t ever met a good cop (I’m Goin’ In)
22 years old –
22, had the Bentley 4-door already
Even as a boy I was the boy already (Days In The East)
23 years old –
I’m 23, with a money tree.
Growing more too, I just planted a hundred seeds. (The Resistance)
24 years old –
24 hours from greatness, I’m close (Say What’s Real)
25 years old –
25 sittin’ on 25 mil (The Motto)
26 years old –
Yeah 26 on my third GQ cover
Your new sh*t sound like you do covers (Jodeci Freestyle)
27 years old –
I’m only 27, and I’m only getting better (0 to 100)
28 years old –
28 at midnight, wonder what’s next for me (6PM In New York)
29 years old
Man, i’m only 29, have some patience with us (Sneakin’ ft. 21 Savage)
30 years old –
What will he have to say about being 30? I guess we’ll just have to wait for More Life to see!
Oh, and be sure to tune into my Snap tonight (ergense), as I’m going to see Majid Jordan perform at The Fonda Theatre, and I cannot wait!!

UDPATE: Apple Music has so kindly curated a playlist of Episode 32 with most of the songs Drake mixed for us in the beginning. Listen here!

Today’s episode of OVO Sound Radio, Episode 32, was hosted by none other than Drake himself and Oliver. They call themselves the October Firm. Why else was this a special episode? Well, Drake’s birthday is tomorrow so it’s only right (Ty Dolla $ign voice) that he’s featured today. He also let us know that he’ll be dropping a new project – a playlist – in December titled More Life. All original music! I can’t wait. Aaaaand, he gave us four new tracks today. Well, three new and one was a remix, but still.
Drake started the show by saying he just got back to LA and this had me thinking because tomorrow night Majid Jordan is performing in LA, so all I’m saying is I wouldn’t be mad if Drake makes a surprise appearance at the show AND on his birthday. Just saying. Yes, I’ll be going.
Below is the mix of songs he started Episode 32 with –
City Is Mine
I Get Lonely Too
My Side
Days In The East
Dip Dip – 21 Savage
Overseas – Smoke Dawg ft. Skepta
Unstoppable
Controlla Remix
Nov 18th
Keys to the Streets Remix – 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne & Quavo
sweet sweet – Travi$ Scott
Ocean Drive – 21 Savage & Metro Boomin
Back from the Dead ft. Skepta – Riff Raff & DJ Afterthought
Whippin Excursion – @officialgiggs
Dat Way – Migos & Rick The Kid
Just Like That (Part 2) – new Roy Woods
Mad – Solange ft. Wayne
Keep the Faith (Faithful Remix) – dvsn
They Ain’t 100 – Fredo – Drugs, Sex and Hip Hop, Vol. 1
Mi Unruly – Popcaan
Boshe Nlo – Burna Boy – Redemption
And some P. Reign!
(apologies if I didn’t capture it all!)
Then, the moment we were all waiting for… new tracks from Drizzy!
See below –

Drake continues to deliver. Whether it’s a mix of his favorite songs or debuting new music on OVO Sound Radio or announcing he’s giving us a whole new project with original music via a playlist titled More Life, he’s always on and always giving his fans more, which keeps them (and me!) engaged.
Much appreciated. Stay tuned for a post tomorrow featuring Drake as it’s his 30th birthday! And you can watch my Snapchat right now to see all of my reactions from today’s episode of OVO Sound Radio. Snap name: ergense
Yeeeeeeee. No Sunday Scaries today, yinz!

Yinz should all be familiar with Kap G’s single and banger ‘Girlfriend,’ but now it’s even more lit because one of my favorite artists, Ty Dolla $ign, jumped on the track. Quavo also joins the squad for the remix, and it’s the perfect song for some Thursday night vibing.
Kap G tweeted earlier today that the remix would be dropping, so you know I’ve been waiting or this. This is one of the reasons I love Twitter. You hear the news straight from the artist, and it makes you feel more connected as a fan. I think I need to write a separate blog post on that. Any who…

Enjoy here!
