Alpha Gamma Delta… TREES ARE OUR SHELTA.
That is all. 🙂

So this remix of Kanye’s ‘Black Skinhead’ was just leaked and was recorded after the 2013 VMA’s. Miley exited the stage and went with Kanye to the studio to record it. The track opens with Miley, Kanye had the same verses, and there are overlays of Travi$’ voice.
I dig it.
Listen here! Hopefully it won’t get taken down!

I promise to have a more well written post about this come Friday but seeing current Westminster College (WC) students posting about the start of recruitment week tonight is making me very giddy!
WC, Greek life, and most importantly the girls of Alpha Gamma Delta hold such a very special place in my heart. Yes, these are the friends I “paid” for. -___-
Going through recruitment as a freshman was definitely nerve-racking but at the same time so very exciting. I came out of that week learning a lot about myself and my friends. And from the already in AGD side I learned how to host a party and became comfortable and confident to talk to a large group of girls I had never met before.
People can bash sororities all they want – and yes, there are some chapters at certain schools where my mind is blown by what they do – but the sororities on Westminster’s campus were comprised of some of the best and most loyal, compassionate, and caring girls I’ve ever met. And I’m talking about all sororities. Not just AGD. The philanthropic nature of the five sororities was also unlike any other. Yes, we all had our rivalries, especially during Greek Week, but overall I can only speak highly of Greek life at Westminster College.
I’m keeping this short and sweet so I don’t get too emotional, but I wish all freshmen girls going through recruitment this week the very best of luck. Have fun. Dress nicely. Eat the free food – obviously. And just be yourself. It will make the whole process that much easier when you’re deciding where you belong. And to those girls hosting the parties, same advice to you too. 🙂 Good luck!
PS – The featured image was when Athena (L), Leigha (R), and I (center) were little baby freshmen getting ready for our probably first night of recruitment! #similarinterests

I know it’s Tuesday, but Kanye gave us new music yesterday, so I have to share even though I hope yinz have already listened to it.
New Kanye x Kendrick below!
And although the song is called ‘No More Parties in LA,’ I have to apologize to Mr. West because there was definitely a party in LA on Saturday. Birthday post coming soon!

Until my Drake birthday party! I don’t really have any important content for today, but I’m just really excited! The Drake GIF above is pretty much how I feel and am looking today.
EXCITED BECAUSE:
And other exciting things!
Lots of fun and exciting tings (no I’m not spelling it wrong – Drake reference) ahead!

…on a Tuesday!
Although we’re a few days into the week, I’ve declared this week #DrakeWeek. Yes, I know it may seem like EVERY week on californyinz is #DrakeWeek, but there are a few reasons why this week is extra special:
That’s all for today! Vibe to the tune below.

I actually live for videos like this. He sings along to the debuted R&B jam before making the recording studio his stage.
We got another bangerrrr! There is talk that he could be working on another mixtape called After the Party, which would be the follow-up to his mixtape Before the Party. Makes sense.
Watch C. Breezy break it down in the studio below!

Thanks to Revolt TV, take a look below at the casting call for the very possible new music video of Rihanna featuring Drizzy Drake. Like whaaaaaat. I absolutely loved ‘Take Care’ and ‘What’s My Name?’ featuring those two, so I can only imagine great tings for this.
The song is supposedly called ‘Work,’ and let me tell you, I am ready to see these two WORQUE in this video. We aren’t sure if this track will be featured on Rihanna’s upcoming album ANTI or Drake’s highly-anticipated album Views From the 6. Who knows! It may not even be on either of the projects. Regardless, I’m looking forward to it.

You can read and see more details about the shoot here!

While this playlist only has 10 songs (it will grow), they are 100% the tracks I’ve been listening to on repeat, and I suggest you do the same. From new Kanye to DJ Mustard and The Weeknd and more, I guarantee you’ll be vibing out to these songs just like me.
Yesterday, I also attended a networking event for millennial women and the lovely Karen Civil was the keynote speaker. Can’t wait to share info about that with you and why you should definitely be following KC on all social media, as well as why you need to buy her book!
Happy Monday, yinz!

Final version here!!
It is a G.O.O.D. Friday for sure!
While I don’t have the song ‘Real Friends’ here just yet, #KanyeTweeted saying there was an issue with the loop of the song, but he’ll put it back out shortly, I want to have this post ready for yinz to easily access his new song.
He also previewed a snippet of a new song featuring freaking Kendrick Lamar. If that’s not an ultimate collab, I truly do not know what is. Well, unless Drake and Usher hopped on a track together. The song is called ‘No More Parties in LA.’
According to Ye’s deleted Tweets, ‘No More Parties in LA’ was produced by Madlib with the intro produced by Ye himself. And ‘Real Friends’ was also produced by the Chi-Town rapper. Featuring a sample from Ghostface Killah’s ‘Mighty Healthy’ that Kanye also used on ‘New God Flow’ with Pusha T, the same sample appears to be heard on ‘No More LA Parties.’
If G.O.O.D. Friday’s do in fact start again, I will be a pretty happy camper. In 2010, Kanye released a new song every Friday leading up to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. And I’ll tell you right now, that is one of my favorite albums, so I’m hoping for the best with this series, as well.
So sit tight, and check back for the songs!
